Jacque Salame is a teaching artist, producer, nutritionist and activist in San Antonio, Texas. Jacque was recently awarded an Individual Artist Grant and a Production Cost Grant by the City of San Antonio to write and produce the multimedia dance performance, Happy Birthday, Mom (HBDM). Based on true events, HBDM, explores law enforcement practices and police brutality with original music, dance, animation, dialogue and spoken word. Through Body Beats, Jacque is determined to keep their community moving. Follow their journey and engage in movement for the movement.
